Strong Christmas Eve Eve storm
A powerful front is approaching the Los Angeles metro:
As is evident in this satellite image gif, the front is undergoing rapid amplification as it interacts with a strong jet stream overhead (evidenced by the very white clouds which are filling in). This interaction should intensify and consolidate the front as it sweeps through Los Angeles this evening, bringing heavy rain, possible thunderstorms and very windy conditions.
