Holiday Rain for SoCal

A quick holiday frontal passage will bring a burst of rain to the Southland beginning this afternoon and ending tomorrow (Sunday) morning. The models right now are suggesting a tightly packed, progressively stacked cold front will bring a 4-6 hour burst of rain beginning around 1pm in Ventura County, 3pm in Los Angeles and 5pm in Orange County. The rain could be moderate to heavy at times and should sweep through the region by midnight. Post-frontal showers will then continue through 4pm on Sunday.

Here's an infographic (from the National Weather Service) of 72-hour expected rain totals showing anywhere form 0.25 to 1" of rain in the area. How fun! :)
